By control on March 25, 2013

Air China Cargo opened two new routes from Shanghai to Europe: Shanghai-Zhengzhou-Amsterdam and Shanghai-Chongqing-Frankfurt.

This further promotes the development of related industries in middle and west China.

The Shanghai-Zhengzhou-Amsterdam route will be Air China Cargo’s third to Amsterdam.

“The launching of Shanghai-Zhengzhou-Amsterdam and Shanghai-Chongqing-Frankfurt air routes further improves our freight airline network originating from Shanghai hub, optimizes the global layout of our air route network, and establishes a new fast passage for cargo transportation between China and Europe,” Titus Diu, the COO of Air China Cargo, said.

The Shanghai-Zhengzhou-Amsterdam route is operated once a week with a B747-400 freighter. It takes off from Shanghai Pudong International Airport every Wednesday, arrives in Zhengzhou Thursday at 1 a.m. and finally arrives at the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport at 2 p.m.

The Shanghai-Chongqing-Frankfurt route is also operated once a week with a B747-400 freighter. It takes off from Shanghai Pudong International Airport every Tuesday, arrives in Chongqing at 3:30 a.m. and departs from Chongqing to Frankfurt at 7 a.m.
