Cargo traffic for LATAM Airlines Group increased 0.6 percent in February and capacity increased 3 percent compared to February 2012, the company reported.
As a result, the cargo load factor decreased 1.3 points to 55.6 percent.
The growth in cargo capacity is due to an increased availability in the belly of passenger aircrafts. Cargo traffic was driven by a strong demand of commodities from South America, though this was partially offset by weaker imports into Latin America.
