AirBridgeCargo names new executive president

Denis Ilin has been appointed as Executive President of AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), Russia’s largest international scheduled cargo airline.

Ilin, who assumed his new duties on Aug, 1 has worked for several years as Head of Aviation for Basic Element, the Russian financial and industrial Group, where his main responsibilities included aviation business development.

He previously held several leadership roles in Volga Dnepr Group, including Manager of Volga Dnepr UK (United Kingdom), General Director of AirBridgeCargo, Strategic Management Advisor to ABC’s General Director, and Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Sales, and has made a significant contribution to the establishment of Volga Dnepr Group’s scheduled cargo business.

Ilin’s new responsibilities will be to further increase ABC’s quality and effectiveness, and to centralize business management.

“Despite the challenging market conditions facing all airlines, I see a very strong and positive future for AirBridgeCargo Airlines," Ilin said. "The airline has an excellent team of professionals and good growth potential. My job will be to maximize what we can achieve with the airline’s resources and to build a prosperous future for ABC based on our long-term, successful relationship with customers and their loyalty.”
