AA Group's cargo revenue up in Q1

American Airlines Group, the holding company for American Airlines and US Airways, saw mainline and regional cargo revenue up 4.9 percent in the first quarter of 2014, compared to the same period in 2013.

Revenue was approximately US$206 million (149 million euros).

Combined mainline and regional cargo tonne miles for the first quarter were 560 million, up 11.9 percent versus the first quarter 2013.

Cargo yield per tonne mile was 36.88 cents (27 cents), down 6.3 percent versus the same period in 2013.
