A new route between express carrier TNT’s main hub in Liège and the island nation of Malta has been launched, with service five days a week on a 737-400 and a stopover in Marseilles in both directions. The new flight arrives in Malta in the morning and departs in the evening, which will make afternoon pickups in Malta possible for next-day delivery in all of Europe.
Customers will benefit from shorter transit times for economy consignments, later departure times for exports, earlier arrival time for imports, and the ability to send larger, heavier cargo, TNT said. This new route follows the recent start of flights by TNT to Venice and Tel Aviv, as well as expanded road connections to Turkey and the Balkans.
