ABC passes Cargo iQ audit for operations in Moscow

AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) passed its second audit reconfirming its compliance with the quality standards of IATA interest group Cargo iQ, following a two-day inspection of its operations in Moscow, the same city in which it’s headquartered.

Cargo iQ, formerly called Cargo 2000, uses a benchmarking system that rates a shipment’s performance, in terms of its success in meeting supply-chain milestones. The audit, carried out by a Switzerland-based testing and certification service, SGS, on behalf of Cargo iQ,  found “no single non-conformances” and gave ABC a 99 percent compliance rating.

“Air cargo transportation is a complex and multi-tiered process, which embraces all supply-chain stakeholders and depends on a number of factors, both external and internal,” said Sergey Lazarev, general director at ABC.

The carrier has been a member of Cargo iQ since 2007. The organization has more than 80 members, including airlines, ground handling agents, IT providers and forwarders.
