Air Canada_787_tail-smallBeginning this week, Air Canada Cargo is revealing an updated website with the ability for its cargo customers to book shipments directly on aircanadacargo.com with a new e-booking and management tool. E-booking (with a user login) will allow customers to book, manage and track their cargo online. The service includes specialized needs such as AC Cool Chain, AC DGR (dangerous goods) and AC Live (safe animal transport).

The system will also give customers an estimated quote for the cost of the shipment. E-booking will also track multiple shipments from a dashboard on the website, where users can view the status of all shipments they have in transit. Customers using the system can fill out an electronic air way bill (e-AWB), add to the house air waybill, edit a shipment or print a document pouch. Air Canada said with this new service it hopes that renewed emphasis will be placed on the benefits of using e-AWBs, an initiative the industry is pushing.

This year Air Canada has expanded service to Osaka, Amsterdam, Dubai and Delhi. It maintains hubs in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, London and Frankfurt, providing cargo services to more than  150 Canadian and International destinations.
