London-based B&H Worldwide, a logistics company that provides parts and services for grounded aircraft, has opened a new logistics center at London Heathrow Airport. The facility will be staffed 24/7 for customers needing emergency service, no matter where on the globe they are.
The company said it handles approximately 21,000 aircraft-on-ground (AOG) shipments annually, with real-time global tracking through its OnTrack system. The system tracks AOG parts by number, serial number, aircraft tail number or by C-check event, so an engineer doesn’t have to rely on lengthy air waybill numbers to find shipments.
The new center will be fully operational by August 1.
