In the latest expansion to its scheduled freighter network into the United States, Israel-based CAL Cargo Airlines is adding twice-weekly freighter service to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).
The scheduled service will begin operating on Oct. 2, arriving in LAX from the carrier’s hub at Liege Airport (LGG) on Wednesdays and Saturdays and departing LAX to return to LGG on Thursdays and Sundays. The service will utilize CAL Cargo’s 747-400 freighters, of which the carrier operates three.
The carrier has already increased its operations in the U.S. this year, after adding flights from Europe to Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in mid-July. CAL Cargo has also utilized its growing freighter fleet, as reported by our sister publication Cargo Facts, to expand its role in seafood exports from Oslo Airport (OSL).
