Sit back and relax, Houstonians, while CEVA Logistics brings your cargo to you. CEVA has opened a home delivery service center in Texas’ largest city, which will provide specialized services for customers who need heavy or bulky items delivered to consumers’ homes.
The service is for goods such as televisions, furniture, appliances and similarly large household items. CEVA said it will handle all aspects of the delivery, from managing the order to set-up and installation. Using automated technology, the forwarder will centralize operations and provide a home-delivery web portal for consumers to schedule deliveries, track orders or ask questions.
The service center has already handled more than 140,000 calls with an average speed of answering under 15 seconds, including over 50,000 calls during the 2014 peak season, the company said.
The center will soon handle multimedia contacts (email, chat, social media) using the same contact center. Future updates are also scheduled that will improve automation and self-service with both the interactive voice response system and website.
