Dnata earns GDP cert for cool-chain handling in Zürich
Dubai-based ground handler dnata has received the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certification at its Zürich facility. The framework sets standards and best practices around the safe transportation of cool-chain products.
Dnata said the process of gaining the certification involved making “significant enhancements to its quality systems, operations documentation and facilities management practices.” The company also holds GDP certifications at its Amsterdam, London, Manchester and Singapore facilities.
The certification has been compared to the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) CEIV-Pharma, which can be thought of as a newer, airfreight-specific version of GDP. Dnata utilizes both frameworks in its portfolio of international facilities, holding CEIV-Pharma statuses at its Amsterdam, Dubai and Singapore facilities.
