IAG Cargo is adding Düsseldorf, Hannover, Stuttgart, Berlin-Tegel, Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg to its EuroConnector network, with direct flights from those German cities to Madrid. The move, which boosts its German cargo capacity by 18 percent, will be carried out using the narrowbody aircraft on IAG subsidiary Vueling Airlines.
The new frequencies mean 47 new direct flights from Barcelona into key European cities, also connecting to Latin American destinations. IAG currently has 19 existing daily flights out of Germany to London via British Airways and 18 to Madrid on Iberia.
The new cargo flights will begin at the end of May, with the exception of Munich and Frankfurt, which will start later in the year.
