TNT has expanded its coverage to the Nordic countries of Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland reaching 15 percent more postal codes and 34 percent more businesses in the region by noon the next business day. Companies shipping to or from the Nordics will have more delivery options for their urgent parcels and freight.
The integrator added or improved pre-noon service in Stockholm, Goteborg and Malmo in Sweden; Aarhus and Aalborg in Denmark; Oslo and Stavanger in Norway; and Helsinki, Finland. TNT was able to accomplish this with improvements made to its road and air networks. TNT also reintroduced flights from Liege to Stockholm Arlanda and Orebro Airports. This route is offered five times per week, with early arrival and late departure for exports. Additionally, in Sweden, TNT has new distribution partners to speed up deliveries in and around Stockholm, Malmo and Orebro.
In Finland, daily freighter service from Liege to Turku will now make one stop in Helsinki, allowing the carrier to arrive in the capital city three hours earlier than before and offer more delivery options in the area. The flight goes on to Turku that morning, and returns to Liege at night. Finally, in Denmark, TNT increased pick-up and delivery capabilities in the Copenhagen and Billund areas to deliver more goods before noon.
