Sicilian blood oranges have returned to Japan for the first time in a decade, thanks to Nippon Express Italia, a subsidiary of Nippon Express Holdings.
Previously, blood oranges faced quarantine restrictions, but imports resumed this year following discussions between the Japanese and Italian governments. NX Italy delivered its first shipment of oranges to Narita Airport (NRT) in April and added even more zest to the day with a celebratory ceremony at Nippon Express’ Tokyo shipping branch.
