CHEP Aerospace Solutions, a ULD management and repair service provider, has secured a contract with Latin America’s LAN Cargo, to provide maintenance for the carrier’s ULDs and pallets at Miami International Airport. The agreement includes using CHEP’s repair management software, ACTIS, at LAN Cargo’s hubs.
CHEP was the winner of the first IATA Air Cargo Innovation Award at the World Cargo Symposium in Shanghai earlier this year for creating CanTrack, a GPS-trackable device with a solar-powered battery, which allows shippers to track a ULD and its cargo in real time.
