This week, Etihad Cargo has retained the cool-chain services of Frankfurt-based DoKaSch Temperature Solutions to provide air-conditioned “Opticooler” ULD containers.

The move will boost the Abu Dhabi-based carrier’s capability to transport temperature-sensitive cargo, expanding its “TempCheck” cool-chain initiative, which caters to clients dealing in pharmaceuticals.

The containers will be in use on Etihad Cargo’s fleet through its international network, which stretches to more than 90 destinations in over 50 countries. Etihad joins Qatar Cargo and China Airlines among cargo-carrying airlines employing DoKaSch’s temperature-control equipment.
