Canada-based KF Aerospace (formally Kelowna Flightcraft) has awarded Jettainer the management and servicing of its airfreight loading devices. A loading celebration of the first ULD was held June 11 at KF Aerospace’s long-haul services facility in Toronto.
Jettainer will manage a fleet of more than 700 ULDs, mostly pallets, for KF Aerospace. Services include ULD management, steering, positioning, repair and maintenance. In phase one, KF Aerospace will fly a long-haul route between Toronto and Brussels, using a fleet of DC-10-30Fs, supported by a Canadian network using 727-200 freighters – all using Jettainer loading devices.
In the North American market, Jettainer already services ULDs for US Airways and American Airlines, with plans to expand in this market.
