California-based 3PL PRISM Logistics has expanded its warehouse capacity in California with an additional warehouse in Stockton – about 80 miles east of San Francisco – that will cater to its customers in consumer product goods, especially in food and beverage.
The facility, which opened at the end of the fourth-quarter, is food-grade and safety-certified to accommodate products from its client portfolio, which includes General Mills, Numi Organic Tea and Amy’s Kitchen.
The company’s vice president of business development, Jeremy Van Puffelen, said the lower cost of real estate in the Central Valley area was a major factor in choosing the location of the warehouse. “We see this region as critically important to continuing to provide the quality they [customers] demand at the cost levels they need,” he said.
PRISM serves Northern California and the U.S. West Coast from its network, which includes the cities of Hayward, Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto and Livermore, Calif.
