In addition to its service to Mumbai, Saudia Cargo launched a bi-weekly 747F frequency from New Delhi to Riyadh and Jeddah earlier this month. The initial full load of cargo included pharmaceuticals, garments, fabric and other exports from India, destined for the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Keku Gazder, Saudia’s regional director, cargo, Indian subcontinent, said the additional service was brought on by customer demand. Over the years, Delhi has become a key market for Saudia Cargo, driven mostly by demand for clothing and pharmaceuticals being. With the start of the Delhi freighters, Saudia Cargo now operates four weekly frequencies into India.
