UPS has opened a new “healthcare compliant” distribution warehouse in New Jersey, to enable the carrier to reach more than 80 percent of U.S. hospitals within four hours. With 208,000 square feet, the facility is located near UPS’s air hub at Philadelphia International Airport. This field stocking location provides end-to-end service for healthcare customers who seek increased control of their inventory and supply chain.
Field stocking locations are strategically placed to support warehousing and time-sensitive distribution of products needed for patients, including autoclave capabilities, instrument inspection, surgical set replenishment and other services.
