Looking ahead to the winter season and the rest of 2015, Air Canada is expanding its long-haul widebody passenger and cargo service to several regions of the world, including South Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, North America and Europe.
Starting today, Air Canada has added frequencies on certain Canadian routes for the high-demand holiday period, including Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax and Saint John, from the carrier’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ) hub in Toronto. Additional flights, the carrier said, are expected to continue throughout December and into January 2015, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Latin America.
In November 2015, Air Canada Cargo will begin year-round direct service between Delhi, India, and YYZ. The four-times-per-week route will be served by the first of the six 787-9 aircraft Air Canada currently has on order from Boeing.
Air Canada will also add year-round direct service between Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and its YYZ hub. The route will begin in November 2015, also using 787 aircraft, flying three times a week.
